Foregoing the main dining hall and buffets of more traditional cruise lines, Virgin Voyages instead offers over 20+ casual and specialty dining venues; all included with their cruise fare. Dietary needs can be met. Make sure to let your travel agent know so they can add any allergies to your file. Gluten friendly and Vegetarian/Vegan options are available throughout.
On my short 5-day cruise, I got to try most of them and I was not disappointed. Here is your full Scarlet Lady Restaurant Guide (with menus!)
Casual Eateries
Pizza Place
Who doesn’t love pizza? This venue is perfect for a lunch or even a late-night snack. Open from 11:30am to 6:30pm and then 9:00pm to 1:30pm

The Social Club
This was a great venue to meet people. As a solo traveler, many of the solo friendly events were held here. It’s like a causal American diner where you can get hot dogs, pretzels, sweets and popcorn. Spike it up a notch with an alcohol-infused milkshake (about $9)

The Galley
The main hub for casual eats during breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack-time. Set up with quick-service stations, simply choose a seat and order from the nine food stations from your server.
The Galley offers:
- Diner & Dash – all day breakfast with the favourites like made to order omelettes, bacon and eggs.
- Burger Bar – serving up pancakes and French toast for breakfast and delicious burgers for lunch
- Bento Baby – Fantastic sushi options and fruit bentos for the morning
- Let’s Taco Bout It – Burritos and Tacos
- Noodle Around – Miso and Ramen options (delish!)
- The Daily Mix – get your soups, salads and cereal here
- Hot Off the Press – Fantastic sandwiches and paninis
- Well Bread – the name says it all. Flatbreads and breakfast breads
- The Sweet Side – get your pastries and desserts here

Lick Me Till Ice Cream
Lick Me Till Ice Cream is the ice cream shop onboard Virgin Voyages. They serve complimentary scoops of homemade ice cream throughout the day with 6 flavors from which to choose.

Sun Club Café – Hawaiian Poke Bowls
The Sun Club offers healthy Hawaiian Poke Bowls served over rice or greens. It’s a perfect outdoor place to grab a bite after a workout or while lounging in the sun.

The Dock – Casual Mediterranean
With both an indoor and outdoor component, The Dock House offers comfortable and casual seating while serving up Mediterranean tapas. Highly recommend the octopus. It was suggested to me by a fellow sailor and glad I tried it.

Restaurants
The Wake
The Wake is the biggest and most glamouous restaurant on the Scarlet Lady and arguably has some of the best views. It’s open for breakfast and lunch (try the Hanger steak!) and at dinner offers steak and seafood specialities. They have a great wine list as well. WINE LIST

Extra Virgin
Traditional Italian with all the pasta handmade onboard. I especially loved the fried artichoke and the gnocchi. One of the most popular restaurants on the Scarlet Lady, make sure to reserve a table early. Below is just the main menu but check out the FULL MENU

Pink Agave
Designed by Tom Dixon, the Pink Agave offers vibrant and authentic Mexican specialities like tamales, esquites (my fav!), tlayudas and memelas. You can even pair each dish with a selection of Mezcals. DRINK MENU

Gunbae
A lively Korean BBQ set up with social seating. This means as a solo traveler (or a small group) you could be seated with other sailors. It has circular seating with a flameless grill in the middle. “Gunbae” means “empty glass” in Korean and is akin to the expression “Bottoms up” Your server starts off the meal with a fun drinking game to get everyone excited. The menu is extensive:

Test Kitchen
Playful and inventive, the Test Kitchen offers a fixed tasting menu of select ingredients. It’s a very innovative dining experience and highly suggest the wine pairings. There were 2 menus available during my voyage. I only had a change to enjoy the one with corn. There is a vegetarian option available too.

Razzle Dazzle

Vegetarian focused, Razzle Dazzle offers light and plant-based twists on traditional comfort food. They do offer “naughty” items that include meat, so there really is something for everyone. I only made it here once, enjoying the mushroom tartare and chicken cobb salad. Looking forward to checking it out again on my next voyage.
With so many eateries avaialble, you’ll never get bored with the food on Virgin Voyages.
